Product Description
Ozokerite Wax is a naturally occurring wax made of food-grade petroleum. Ozokerite is non-comedogenic and is generally safe for all skin types.
Ozokerite is a hard wax with excellent properties for viscosity building, aids in emulsion stabilization, and can increase gel strength in liquid and semi-solid formulations. Ozokerite is often used in lip balms, lipsticks, stick deodorants, color cosmetics, creams, lotions, mascara, pomades, salves, ointments, stick formulas.
Ozokerite gives a rich, creamy thickness to emulsified formulas. You will need to stir your mixture while it cools in order to ensure a consistent dispersion of the wax throughout the product. Ozokerite is unique in finished products as the formulation is firm, but melts beautifully on skin contact allowing smooth glide and good skin feel.
