This ingredient is a synthetic surfactant composed of sorbitol and isostearic acid, a fatty acid. Similar to the liquid fatty acid isostearic acid. An excellent W/O (water-in-oil) emulsifier, used for creating stable and refreshing W/O creams. It aids in the wetting and dispersion of powders, especially in sunscreen and foundation products, and is suitable for cold processing. It shows good tolerance to polar oils. It is widely used as a water-in-oil emulsifier and a co-emulsifier in oil-in-water emulsions and can also be applied in hair care products, providing a good rinsing feel while enhancing cationic adsorption.
