Copper Tripeptide-1 Wound Healing & Anti-Aging Peptide
01
Product Description
1. Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) is a naturally occurring copper-binding peptide that plays a fundamental role in tissue repair and regeneration through multiple pathways:
Extracellular Matrix Remodeling:
Upregulates synthesis of key structural proteins including collagen I, III, IV, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans.
Modulates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) to promote balanced tissue remodeling - inhibiting MMP-1 while activating MMP-2 for organized collagen deposition.
Stem Cell Activation & Cellular Communication:
Attracts immune cells and fibroblasts to wound sites, enhancing tissue repair.
Promotes the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells and stimulates angiogenesis.
Anti-Inflammatory & Antioxidant Effects:
Suppresses reactive oxygen species and reduces inflammatory cytokines like TNF-α.
Upregulates antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase and metallothionein.
2. In Vitro Efficacy Data
Collagen Synthesis: 2.8-fold increase in collagen production in human fibroblast cultures at 1 μM.
Gene Expression: Upregulation of 31 genes involved in tissue repair and anti-oxidation.
MMP Modulation: 60% inhibition of MMP-1 (collagenase) while increasing MMP-2 (gelatinase) activity for proper matrix remodeling.
Cell Migration: 3.5-fold enhancement of fibroblast migration in scratch wound assays.
3. Clinical Results
3. Clinical Results
Study Design: Multiple clinical trials including a 12-week study on 60 volunteers (40-65 years) using a serum with 5 ppm Copper Tripeptide-1.
Results:
Wrinkle Reduction: 35% improvement in fine lines and wrinkles by visioanalysis.
Firmness & Elasticity: 18% increase in cutometer measurements.
Skin Texture: 42% improvement in skin smoothness and roughness.
Barrier Function: 25% reduction in TEWL and enhanced hydration.
Wound Healing: Accelerated recovery in post-procedure applications.
Safety
Excellent safety profile with over 30 years of clinical use. Non-irritating, non-sensitizing, suitable for sensitive skin.
